Can I enter inside the Great Pyramid?
Yes, entering the Great Pyramid is possible for an additional ticket (approximately $20–30, paid on-site). Your guide will help you purchase the ticket and manage the queue. Note that the interior passage is narrow and can feel cramped — not recommended for claustrophobic travellers.
What time does the tour start?
We recommend an early start around 7–8 AM to beat the crowds and the midday heat. Sunrise at the Pyramids is spectacular and offers the best lighting for photographs. Your guide will confirm the exact pickup time based on your hotel location.
Do I need to pay entrance fees in cash?
Yes, entrance fees to the Pyramids area and the Solar Boat Museum are paid in cash (Egyptian Pounds or USD) at the ticket office. Your guide will handle the transaction and explain the ticket types. ATMs are available at the entrance but carrying some cash is recommended.

Best Time to Visit
Visit the Giza Plateau early morning (7-8 AM) for the best light and smallest crowds. October to April offers the most comfortable temperatures (20-30°C). Summer visits should start at sunrise to avoid midday heat above 38°C. The pyramids are most photogenic during golden hour (sunrise and late afternoon).
What to Wear
The Giza Plateau is exposed desert with no shade — wear a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and breathable clothing. Sturdy walking shoes are essential as the terrain is sandy and uneven. Bring a dust mask or scarf for windy days. Sunscreen with SPF 50+ is strongly recommended even in winter.
Pyramid Entry Tips
Entry to the Great Pyramid interior requires a separate ticket ($20-30) and spaces are limited — arrive early. The internal passage is narrow and steep, not suitable for claustrophobic travelers or those with mobility issues. Camel rides can be arranged at the plateau — negotiate the price before mounting.
Photography Tips
The best panoramic pyramid photos are from the escarpment west of the Great Pyramid. Sunrise creates golden tones on the limestone.
